Program Contents:

The program starts with examples of typical problems caused when key components of the organization are not operating with the same goal and objectives.

The advantages of prioritizing organizational objectives are covered along with the realization that prioritizing objectives is a difficult task to accomplish.

The importance of setting a goal and prioritizing the objectives is connected to the ability of an organizational leader to be effective and to maintain reasonable control over the organization.

Through the use of a PowerPoint presentation, each step of the process of setting a goal and objectives are reviewed.

The PowerPoint presentation can be used in two ways. It can be used as an overview to the goal and objective setting process. Or the PowerPoint presentation and the printed worksheets can be used simultaneously so as to have the participants actually go through the process of setting the organizational goal and objectives.

The program also contains a PowerPoint presentation and worksheets designed to implement setting goal and objectives at the Unit level.

Program Format:

The program is designed to use either of two different approaches.

The PowerPoint presentation can be used as an overview to the goal and objective setting process at the organizational level and at the unit/departmental level. At a later time, the worksheets can be utilized by the facilitator to take the participants through the goal setting and objective setting and prioritizing process.

The second format is to use the PowerPoint presentation slides and combine it with the worksheets and take the participants through the goal and objectives setting process.

The PowerPoint presentation contains two sections, the first applies to setting goal and objectives at the organizational level and the second section applies to setting unit goals and objectives. Depending on your situation you may choose to use or not use the materials aimed at the unit level.

The printable worksheets are also divided into separate sheets for the organizational level and the unit level.

Program Components:

This program includes a PowerPoint presentation and presenters notes that provide approximately 4 hours of presentation, discussion, and participation when combined with the worksheets.
